Born to the parents of Raymond and Gloria Wheatfall in the city of Fort Worth, Texas, Donavan is no stranger to the inner city struggle. He grew up in the streets of the notorious Stop Six district on the East side of Fort Worth. Where he could hear the sounds of handguns being fired every night almost symbolic of a bedtime story, an all too familiar story to inner city youth. Being the youngest of four boys did provide some protective advantages, but not much.
