Donavan Wheatfall
is a spellbinding orator who captures the imagination of his audience and leaves them excited and anxious for more. His dynamic delivery is rooted in a foundation of spiritual guidance and in-depth research. Time and time again this Fort Worth native is applauded for a job well done.
Born Donavan Roman Wheatfall to the parents of Raymond and Gloria Wheatfall in the city of Fort Worth, Texas, Donavan is no stranger to the inner-city struggle. He grew up in the streets of the notorious Stop Six district on the East side of Fort Worth. Where he could hear the sounds of handguns being fired every night almost symbolic of a bedtime story, an all too familiar story to inner city youth. Being the youngest of four boys did provide some protective advantages, but not much.
Donavan discovered at a very early age a passion to ease suffering and to avoid the all too familiar violent scene that plagued his community. It was through his participation with the Original King Kids of America, Inc., and early exposure to the teachings of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. that fashioned Donavan into a public orator at the tender age of 10. With a sharp wit and even greater capacity for memorization, Donavan had memorized over 26 of Dr. King's sermons by the age of 12. He was master at reciting King.
With the exhortative style of King mixed with a style uniquely of his own developed over the years of being exposed to motivation speakers like Les Brown, Johnny Wimbrey and Zig Ziglar; Donavan was armed to stand and deliver. By the age of 14 his delivery has become an icon of inspiration to both young and old alike. He possessed an uncanny ability to address the changing social issues and left his audiences speechless.
But mere style was not enough. He began to develop the diligent skill of in-depth research of information, mastering the art of presenting meticulous information to every individual, painting a clear picture of today's world. It was this love for information that inspired Donavan to graduate from Texas A&M University in the fields of Computer Science and Business Information Systems.
It was at Texas A&M University that he would further develop his desire to help in areas of dispelling racism, improving education, and guarantee equal access for all. He became an intricate part of various political and social organizations. After graduating from Texas A&M he step very briefly into the corporate arena, before becoming a partner in his own multi-million consulting firm Computer Innovation Services, Inc or CIS. CIS has been a prosperous software and internet solutions development company touting such clients as Delta Faucets, Revman Industries, Pioneer Natural Resources, American Airlines and Nebraska Furniture to name a few.
He has spoken all over the continental United States and internationally: including China, Japan, South Africa, Tunisia, Italy and Hungary. Donavan was the youngest elected City Council member for the City of Fort Worth. Donavan conquers the stereotype of a lost generation and dares to challenge the status quo. He encourages his audiences to meet the challenge and take a stand. Quality is non-negotiable; excellence is a must. Powerful, Motivational, Articulate, Focus, Uplifting, Awesome, Unforgettable. When all else are hesitant….Donavan Stands & Delivers!
